Republic FC Acquires Scottish Striker Lewis Jamieson
Republic FC has reached an agreement with St Mirren F.C. to transfer Lewis Jamieson to Sacramento, pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and ITC, as well as league and federation approval.
“Lewis is a young, talented striker that will add to the depth of our front line,” said Republic FC President and General Manager Todd Dunivant. “Through his previous experience with Neill, we’ve seen his ability to make an impact across multiple attacking positions, and we look forward to incorporating his versatility to our team.”
The 22-year-old striker spent the past five seasons with St Mirren F.C., rising through the club’s system after signing his first pro contract in 2019. He made 35 appearances, tallying one goal and one assist for the Scottish Premiership side.
Jamieson gained additional experience on loan across various levels of the Scottish Professional Football League, including standout stints at Airdrieonians F.C. (eight goals in 18 matches, 2022) and Clyde FC (five goals in 13 matches, 2021). He also played for Inverness Caledonian Thistle, the former club of Republic FC midfielder Nick Ross, and most recently featured for Raith Rovers FC under current Republic FC Head Coach Neill Collins, scoring three goals in 18 appearances.
Across all loan spells, Jamieson recorded 23 goals and five assists in 78 matches, showcasing his ability to contribute in multiple attacking roles. His pace, finishing ability, and familiarity with Collins’ system make him an exciting addition to Republic FC’s front line for the 2025 USL Championship season.
